The Counting Begins - Omer
How many Christians take time to mark out the days leading up to Pentecost?
"For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive. But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, then those who are Christ’s, at his coming. Then the end comes, when he will deliver up the Kingdom to God, even the Father;" I Cor. 15:23-24
One day...
Just as we normally take a tenth or so of our increase and offer it up, Messiah was offered up and we have become the increase. Jesus/Yeshua was planted in the ground and came forth, our offerings bear fruit as well.
I die daily...
Paul spoke of dying to self and, in turn, bearing much fruit, may we do so as well. Have you ever had a dream that just wouldn't come true?
Let's say you always wanted to make it to the Shepherd of the Hills outdoor play in Branson. You've always wanted to see the glory of that production. How about this. You let it die. Let that dream die and give it to the Father.
I have learned to do that from experience. If it was not meant to grow, it will die, but if it is inspired by the Holy Spirit (Ruach), it will grow.
The good thing about "grow" is...
the fruit. And we are HIS fruit. His masterpiece. Take time each day to celebrate the growth process. The Torah and His Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit).
